Just because

Hello my friends. I wanted to share a story with you about an experience I had today. Not sure if you know about this fad going around for people who own jeeps. It's called-Duck Duck Jeep and it involves putting rubber ducks on jeeps. It sounds weird but you could not have imagined the joy from receiving my first duck. I was thrilled and decided I too would start sharing the joy with others that owned jeeps. I was out to lunch with my mother and son and noticed a jeep in the parking lot so I went to my jeep, took one of my prepared little ducks(note attached) and placed it on that jeep. Our lunch was interrupted by the sound of a joyful giggle from the lady who owned the jeep. We watched her smile and take a photo of the duck. It felt great to know that we put a smile on the face of others-just because. Then I started thinking that it wasn't "just because" it was because she owned a jeep, I decided to start a fad of my own which involves giving a little something to someone just because. Just because I like making people smile. I call this one "Smile God loves you" and I randomly gift a little something with a tag that simply says, "smile God loves you". My hope is that they do just that. They smile and know God loves them. I also hope this act of kindness spreads and others follow my lead. You too, can start putting smiles on faces and joy in the hearts of others. Why? Just because it feels good. Keep on keeping on friends. One day, one smile at time.
